Wine in Yorkshire? Really??

Yes, Sheffield is regularly regarded as one of the UK’s top beer destinations, but in recent years, a small but strong cadre of bars, restaurants, and shops have been making the case that the Steel City can be considered a top wine destination as well.

Looking to build on this momentum, in 2024, Tenaya Wine in Crookes and The Old Shoe in City Centre teamed up to plan the first-ever Sheffield Wine Week — inviting wine-advocating venues from across Sheffield to participate.
